Spanish Playschool
Enrichment Program

Flamenco ages 3½ to 5½ years old

In this important formative age group as part of Zoom’s half-day Playschool program, children are introduced to concepts that will not only further their journey towards bilingualism, but also prepare them more broadly for the world ahead. Full immersion classes follow a familiar routine in which children feel comfortable learning and beginning to express themselves in the Spanish language, while expanding on our many play-based activities for this age group, introducing new songs, games, and concepts that will help children to prepare for Kindergarten.

While staying true to our Spanish immersion method of language learning, the main focus in Flamenco is to support children in their development and enrichment of soft skills at this young age. Spanish fluency is achieved through a series of activities that involve a lot of exploration, following a routine that allows each kid to find their strengths and motivations.

Core areas of focus are:

Social and emotional development: team work, problem solving, taking turns, developing empathy and understanding own emotions

  • Movement: kinesthetic exercises applied to learning vocabulary and expressing emotions
  • Pretend play: acting out different scenarios to practice skills they are learning.
  • Sensory play: stimulation of their senses can be applied to any other activities to reinforce language and knowledge acquisition.
  • Artistic development: rhythmic activities, creative exploration, dancing, drawing and sports

Schedule Playschool Calendar | 3 hrs / day | 13:30 to 16:30

  • 4x times a week – Monday through Thursday

Note: As a benefit for new students, we ask that students complete at least one quarter of regular Zoom instruction (Roja Classes or Limon/Fresa Summer Camp) before starting Playschool. This will help leveling them for this new experience.
